In May 2017, prom was just around the corner. Although Cameron and Peyton were part of the same friend group, they weren't really friends. When the prom group was finalized, they found themselves as the only two without dates. She put on her big girl pants and asked Peyton to prom (yes, she asked him). After a surprisingly fun night, they realized they might actually like each other. As their friendship grew, Cameron and Peyton found themselves spending more and more time together until they became inseparable. That September, they officially started dating. Over the next nine years, life brought its share of ups and downs, but one thing never changed—they always found their way back to each other. Then, in May 2026, Peyton FINALLY proposed! Today, they live in Springville, Alabama, with their dog, Thea, where they enjoy boat days on the lake, home renovation projects (Peyton actually hates these), and playing pickleball together (Peyton usually wins!).
