Accessible Airports
Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport (Providence, RI): We recommend flying to Providence if you are taking the ferry from Point Judith. Travel is approximately 30 minutes by car. Bradley International Airport (Hartford, CT): We recommend flying to Hartford if you are taking the ferry from New London. Travel is approximately 1 hour by car. Other surrounding airports: Flights landing in New York and Boston are a 2 to 2.5 hour drive away from ferries to Block Island.

Block Island Ferry
We recommend taking the ferry from Naragannsett, RI (Point Judith). There are two options available with multiple departure times throughout the day. The hi-speed ferry takes approximately 30 minutes and the traditional ferry takes approximately 1 hour and is the only option for those who are bringing a car. If you wish to bring a car, make sure to reserve well in advance, however, cars are only recommended for those unable to walk/bike around the island. Other ports at which the ferry can be taken from include: Newport, RI, New London, CT, and Mauntauk, NY.

New England Airlines flies small planes from Westerly, RI to Block Island, RI hourly. The flight is less than 15 minutes. New England Airlines is also available to book for private charters from the location of your choice. If flying, please notify us and we can help pre-arrange a taxi to bring you to your accommodation.
