We have made the incredibly difficult decision to move forward with our wedding on Friday August 28th. We wish that we could have all of you there to celebrate with us but ultimately know that is not possible right now. The health and safety of all our guests are our number one priority during this time so we hope that everyone does what they feel comfortable with. For those that do few comfortable joining us, we want to let you know that we (and our vendors) will be following all local and state guidelines for COVID-19. We will have some disposable masks for those that should need them. Weather permitting, the ceremony is outdoors and will be able to accommodate all our guests spaced out. The reception is indoor/outdoor and will follow similar restrictions as restaurants are following currently as well as the mask mandate when not eating or drinking indoors. If anyone has any specific questions or concerns please reach out to CJ or myself or our family. Thank you for walking through these changes and supporting us as we start this new chapter even if it is not happening the way we originally planned.
Unfortunately, due to the current COVID-19 Pandemic, we have been forced to postpone our wedding to Friday, August 28, 2020. Your health and safety are our top priority, and we hope that you can still join us on our new date. We wish you and your loved ones all the best during this time and look forward to celebrating with you later this summer! We will be sending out more details to you shortly.
It all started back in the spring of 2013 at the Beach Waterpark. We both met at the open interviews prior to the park opening, I was a lifeguard and he was the park electrician. We saw each other occasionally but didn't interact much the first few weeks of working together. Once the park opened, we found ourselves running into each other a lot during our shifts. After many run ins and lots of convincing, CJ finally got Olivia to agree to go on a date with him. And as they say the rest is history.
As Told by Olivia One Saturday adventure downtown Charleston turned into one the best days of our lives! We started our day downtown for lunch overlooking the water at Fleet Landing. We then took a walk through waterfront park, and watched the cruises take off from the port. Then we were in search of a coffee shop for a cold refreshment as it was a million degrees that day. After many blocks we finally stumbled upon a cute coffee shop and got our frozen drinks. We made our way back to our car and headed home for the day or so I thought. I noticed that CJ was going home a different route than usual and said I thought we were going home. Next thing you know we ended up at Sullivan’s Island pulling down a street with beach access. I said what are we doing here and he said since we were so close he thought we could take a walk on the beach before actually heading home. I was all for it, so we jumped out of the car and headed to the beach. I walked straight towards the water as soon as we got on the beach but noticed CJ hadn't followed me. I ran back to where he was to see what he was doing. As I got closer I noticed he was writing something in the sand. Before I could read what he written, he got down on one knee and asked me to spend forever with him. I said YES... FINALLY!
