Keflavík Airport (KEF)

Most flights from New York or Boston are direct and fly into Keflavik Airport. Iceland seems so far but the flight is actually only about 5 and a half hours!

Wedding reception location. We have completely reserved Skalakot hotel from Thursday to Sunday. We have also blocked rooms at the neighboring Hotel Anna so everyone has a place to stay. Please do not book any accommodations from Thursday to Sunday for we are working with our wedding planner to assign rooms and rates. Booking your hotel stay will go through our wedding planner so when accommodations are finalized he will reach out to you. With any further questions give Reece a call.

Rental Car

Traveling Around Iceland

Please note that a rental car will be necessary for your stay in Iceland, especially if you'd like to do some exploring. There are a number of rental car companies close to Keflavik Airport. Skalakot Manor is about a 2 hour drive from the airport and hotel transfers are unavailable. Thankfully, the landscape is so breathtaking, we promise you won't mind.

Safe Travel & How to Drive in Iceland

Right lane driving, same as America. During the summer, please be careful driving in the countryside as the sheep's walk freely in Iceland between May and early September each year. Driving off-road in Iceland is illegal and there is a big fine for that sort of activity and causes a big scar on the environment. So please respect nature, drive on marked roads and save some money. Keep in mind: Uber is not an option. The area we are in is very remote, please plan accordingly.
