During Eric's first trip to North Carolina, we tested one another's affinity for the outdoors and were thrilled to find out that we love being in nature and will never turn down a challenging hike!
We first met at a KSU Honors event in November 2019. A professor and mentor to us both introduced us and said "Maybe you should meet up when you both move to NC for graduate school!"
Hope visited Eric in Tallahassee to celebrate his birthday and the two found yet again another adventure and went zip lining.
"The day Eric moved to NC was the second "best day" of my life. Only second to the day he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife." -Hope
Long-distance has looked like A LOT of Face Time calls and virtual date nights. The one where Eric surprised Hope with the news of his Duke acceptance was by far THE BEST EVER!
Visits to Flordia were simply not complete without some fresh orange juice and time with our special Florida family.
Duke basketball...enough said!

We have LOVED attending the weddings of some of dearest of friends, many of whom are in our bridal party.

Eric graduated from Duke University with his Masters in May 2024. What a joyful weekend, surrounded by some of the most special people to us!

In December of 2021, Eric surprised Hope one weekend by flying to NC and tapping her on the shoulder after mass on Saturday morning. SHE WAS SHOCKED!

We attended Handel's Messiah at the Duke Chapel in December 2022, a beloved university tradition which has now become one of our yearly traditions.
As graduate students, a lot of time together has been spent studying and writing. This was Hope's view all Summer 2023, while studying for her PhD Candidacy Exam!
If you haven't noticed, we LOVE hiking in NC...so maybe come for the wedding & stay for the hiking!
It wouldn’t be the Christmas season if there wasn’t a trip to the Nutcracker, growing up Hope spent every year on stage. Who knows Tchaikovsky’s score from Overture to Finale better, Eric or Hope?
