Like most nights, Tadd wanted to stay home. It was the end of his first, and by all plans and intentions, last winter in West Dover. His close friend, roommate and partner in crime, Chad Kalaand, wouldn't take no for an answer. And thank goodness he didn't. "This is it, man," Chad insisted. "You always so no to going out. Just say yes once." So, begrudgingly, Tadd changed from his usual sweatpants and t-shirt into more "going out appropriate" attire and braved the frigid cold of the NorthEast, joining his friend for what he hoped would be an early night. Little did he realize, that night he would meet his wife. Hope was out at OMT with her friends, a little Vermont girl who had no clue that night she would meet the love of her life. They caught each others eyes, two anti-social people in an overly social setting. They chatted for awhile and by the end of the night exchanged numbers, realizing that two people who rarely liked anyone had really clicked. The following day, Tadd texted Hope to ask her out on a date. Her response was a Luke-warm "maybe". Tadd, feeling bold (and a bit annoyed) responded in-kind, telling her that he "loathed maybes" and insisted that she either wanted to go out or she didn't. Luckily for both, she did in fact want to go out. The rest, as they say, is history, as three years later, these two are getting married and planning their future together.
We couldn't be more excited to start this new and exciting chapter in our lives. We have decided to have an intimate ceremony in Vermont followed closely by two receptions-- one in Washington and one in Vermont.
