Hope and Sam met on February 15th, 2019 when after months of texting and nightly facetimes, Sam surprised Hope by flying down Valentine’s Day weekend. They were both Alto Saxophones in College Marching Band, Sam at Iowa State and Hope at Baylor, and first talked to each other through a GroupMe chat with every Alto Saxophone in the Big 12 Conference. They have been together since Sam made the big leap and flew down to meet Hope, and after long distance from Texas to Iowa for five years, they now live in Dubuque, Iowa with their cat, Smudge :)
