If you have more specific questions please reach out to Ryan or Hope.
Question

This is my first time at a Catholic Mass. What should I do?

Answer

We will have worship aids provided that will have the music and responses. We would love for everyone to participate. It is a celebration!

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

We like to describe it as Western Formal. We do not want our guest to have to go and buy a something they might never wear again. For ladies, a dressier sundress would be appropriate ankle length or shorter. Please be aware it might get chilly at night so make sure bring a jacket or sweater. Please take into consideration the reception venue has areas with gravel and cobblestone. For gentleman, dress pants, button down shirt and tie would be appropriate. Our groomsmen won't be in a full suit so why should you? The bride and groom will be changing into cowboy boots for the reception! Cowboy boots are optional for our guests but we would love if you joined in!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 1 pm. Please arrive by 12:45 and be inside the chapel.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

YES! We have been loving adding things! Just copy and paste this link! https://www.myregistry.com/wedding-registry/hope-cottam-and-ryan-pemberton-oxnard-ca/4690554

Answer

We will be doing a money dance instead! Please bring cash or checks for this fun tradition!

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

You can find this on our travel page. Our venue has recommended the Sonesta off of Santa Rosa Rd.

Question

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Answer

Yes! #whenlifegivesyoupembertons We cannot wait to look through it when we are on our honeymoon!

Question

Will you have a guestbook?

Answer

We will have a Bible for guests to sign. Please review some of your favorite Bible verses so you have some options in case someone takes yours.

Question

How are you collecting RSVPs?

Answer

After invitations are sent out in August, the RSVP tab will open on this website and you will be able to RSVP on the website. No need to mail back the RSVP!

Question

Are children welcome?

Answer

The invitation will indicate if children are welcome! If you have questions about this please ask Hope.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

As much as we would love for everyone to bring a plus one we want our wedding to be intimate. Please only RSVP for who the invitation was addressed to.

Question

There is no meal preference on the RSVP. What if I have dietary restrictions?

Answer

The main course will be tri tip and we will have plenty of sides to encompass any dietary restrictions. As much as we would love for your tiny humans to have special meals just for them we will not be able to. Please bring food for them if they have a specific diet.

Question

What time does the reception begin and end?

Answer

The reception venue is about 15 minutes from the Chapel. Happy hour will start at 3:30. The reception will conclude at 9 and all guests are asked to be off the premises by 9:30.
