Reach out to Hope at 503-752-6571 if you are planning on staying and she will get you all squared away! Plan for a camping trip: sleeping bag or bedding, toiletries, bear spray, layers, bug spray, flashlight/headlamp, clothes. Some towels are available, and the lodge has gym style showers, a kitchen, grills, and electricity.
Think elevated outdoor! The ceremony is outside, so dress for nature—comfortable shoes, breathable fabrics, and layers for the evening. No need for black tie, but feel free to get fancy in a forest-friendly way. Button up shirts & slacks or nice jeans, sundresses/skirts are great with us!
We will provide dinner on Friday night (Grill Night! Burgers, brats, chips, potato salad, drinks, etc) and snacks & dinner at the reception on Saturday night. Other than that, you are on your own! Bring your own snacks & alcohol. There are 2 fridges for use but please be mindful of everyone else. Coolers are great. We will have an open bar for the reception but bring your own alcohol for the other days!
Yes! The lodge has electricity and cell service, but it is spotty and unreliable in spots.
Only 20 minutes! Butte, MT is just on the other side of the mountain pass. It is quiet a large town (for Montana) that has hotels, restaurant's, grocery stores, and hospitals. This is where we recommend you getting a hotel or an airbnb. This is where we will go when we need to get food or camping supplies.
Yes! We love your little adventurers and they are absolutely welcome at the ceremony and throughout the weekend, but please reach out to Hope or Nate beforehand. For families, we recommend camping or booking a nearby hotel, as the lodge has shared bunk-style rooms without private spaces. Please just be aware that there will be some loud, drunk and crazy people sometimes throughout the weekend. We are young and dumb!
Yes! The lodge allows us to bring our own alcohol for the weekend, but during the wedding reception, we’ll have a licensed bartender and an open bar. For safety and licensing reasons, any personal alcohol must be put away during the reception and can be brought back out when the bar closes.
Montana summers are usually warm during the day (70s–90s°F) and cool at night (30s–50s°F). Be sure to bring layers, especially for evenings outdoors. We will be at high elevation so the weather will be different up there compared to town.
We recommend carpooling or renting a car, especially if you’re flying in. The lodge is remote and down a dirt road. The road is well maintained and does not require a large or high clearance vehicle. There are not rideshare options like Uber/Lyft nearby. Reach out to Hope if you are having difficulty finding a ride!
Yes! The lodge has bathrooms and showers for guest use. It is gym style so multiple showers with curtains. If you're camping, you'll still have access to these facilities.
The lodge is surrounded by hiking trails, off-road paths, and beautiful views—perfect for exploring! We'll have casual hangs, games, and chill time built into the weekend too. Treat this as a weekend getaway for yourself and do what you want to do! Besides the ceremony and reception on Saturday afternoon, the weekend is yours to relax! Butte is also a cool town to explore.

Not much! If you are interested in staying over at the lodge, please reach out to Hope at 503-752-6571. The bunk style rooms are free but tent camping is $15/night. Campers are $25/night. You will have to provide your own food and alcohol (minus Friday night BBQ dinner and the wedding reception will have an open bar and snacks throughout the day and dinner).
