Back in Sophomore Year of College, Hope and Matthew were next door neighbors at Florida State University (go noles!). On the first game day of the season, Hope fell victim to her car being towed. Annoyed, she decided to not join her friends at a Fraternity Party. Instead, she asked her roommates to pregame with their new neighbors as to avoid the day being a total bust. Luckily for Matthew, his roommates were more social than he was and invited the neighbors over. When Hope saw Matthew, she turned to her roommates and called dibs. They bonded over playing early 2000s music for the party and Matthew ultimately came to the game with Hope, completely unaware that she was hitting on him. It was the longest football game that Hope stayed for during her 4 years at FSU. Matthew finally caught on at the end of the evening and asked Hope out to dinner.
