Our Story

The Foundation of Sand Our journey began in 2022. For two and a half years, we lived a life that many would call perfect. We were best friends, inseparable and deeply in love. We filled those years with beautiful memories, but looking back, we realize we were building our house on sand. We loved each other with everything we had, but we didn’t yet know the One who is Love. The Silence of the Nine Months When we said goodbye, the world went quiet. For nine months, we walked separate paths through a valley of silence. It was the hardest season of our lives, yet it became the most sacred. In that emptiness, we both hit our knees. Separately, and without the other knowing, we each surrendered our lives to Jesus Christ. We didn't just find a religion; we found a Savior who met us in our brokenness and made us whole. We learned that you cannot truly love another person until you are first loved by the Creator. A Promise Kept in the Dark During those nine long months of separation, Hope carried a heavy but holy burden. Even when the world whispered to "move on," the Holy Spirit spoke a different word to her heart: Wait. She spent her days in fervent prayer, laying Luke’s heart at the feet of the Father and asking for the courage to trust the process. In His mercy, God began to answer with gentle, undeniable echoes in her spirit, showering her with signs that He was working in the hidden places. Whenever Hope prayed for Luke, she would see three birds—a quiet, consistent reminder of the Trinity watching over them both. Seeking a sign of strength to endure the silence, she asked God to show her an eagle if she was meant to keep waiting. In the months that followed, she saw eagle after eagle soaring above, a living testament to the promise that those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength. On another day, asking if Luke’s heart was still turned toward her, she asked for a yellow butterfly. God didn’t just send one; He sent a swarm of dozens, a vibrant, fluttering confirmation that He was guarding their love even while they were apart. She held onto these promises like a lamp in the dark, trusting that because God was the Author of this story, the ending would be for His ultimate glory. The Prophecy of the Branch God’s timing culminated in a way only He could orchestrate. Just one week before Luke proposed, they were on a date watching a movie. On the screen, three birds flew up and settled perfectly on a single branch. In that moment, the Holy Spirit whispered clearly to Hope’s spirit: “You are getting engaged next week.” True to His word, and as a testament to His restoration, Luke asked Hope to be his wife the next week. The Miracle of the Return God’s timing is never early, but it is never late. After 270 days of prayer, the Lord moved. When we finally reconnected, we didn’t find the same people we used to be. We found two "new creations" standing on the solid rock of faith. The man Hope prayed for was returned to her—not just as the Luke she loved, but as a man of God. The woman Luke came back to was no longer searching for her worth in the world, but finding it in the Gospel. Our Covenant We are getting married not because we are "meant to be," but because God is faithful. Our wedding is more than a celebration of our love; it is a monument to His mercy. We want our marriage to be a living testimony that no heart is too far gone and no relationship is too broken for the King of Kings to restore. “Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time.” ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3‬:‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬
