Immediately after the ceremony join us for a second line parade through the Bywater! March, dance and swing down the streets on New Orleans to the music of a live brass band leading the way. The parade will start at the ceremony location and return to the same location where the space will have been transformed for the reception. History of the Second Line Wedding parade: One of the most popular traditions during New Orleans weddings is the famous Second Line parade. The wedding second line celebrates the newlyweds as they embark on a new life together. A Brass band leads the bridal party and the guests from the reception venue. All guests (and anyone on the street) who want to join in the celebration, follow behind the band and the newlyweds, dancing and strutting to the lively music with handkerchiefs.
