Obviously don't wear white, lol. Otherwise, we ask that you please avoid cool winter tones such as: maroon/burgundy, navy blue, emerald green, etc. That said, you can and should wear whatever you feel comfortable in!
Absolutely not!! We have just included some places we know that are reputable and close to our venues, however you may stay where you want! With our reception ending at 10pm, you may also only be on Vancouver Island for the day. That said, we suggest you visit the Island for a few days, so you can enjoy the incredible scenery it has to offer :)
We are looking into securing a Party Bus for our wedding party! If you are interested in being transported between the venues via the bus, let us know, and we will inform you of the transportation cost! Both venues offer ample parking if you are driving, but drink and plan your transportation responsibly please!!!!
If you are staying local, you should visit the following: - Coombs in Qualicum (Goats on the ROOF!) - Qualicum Beach - Rathtrevor Beach Park - Superior Farms (Hope's favourite because of their highland cows) - Qualicum Cheese Works (the best cheese of your life) - Neck Point Nanaimo - Pipers Lagoon Nanaimo If you're wanting to explore more of the island and plan some road trips, Tofino is stunning in the summer and offers surfing waves, gorgeous hikes and plenty of activities! If you want to head the other direction, you should visit Victoria, where you'll see Victorian homes, eat amazing food, see gorgeous beaches and enjoy wonderful hiking! There is also a BC Ferries in Victoria, so you may choose to head home there instead!
