Once upon a time in an imaginary tavern, two strangers decided to join the same D&D game. Their characters quickly became rivals as Esme vowed to hunt down Talon and avenge her fallen friend. Little did the two know then where this friendly rivalry would lead them in the future. Years passed and the two became friends and often saw each other while playing D&D, partying with friends, or no-lifing the newest expansion of WoW. David always had a bottle of Tequila for Hope, as he knew that was her drink of choice. They enjoyed each others company as friends in social settings but did not speak often on their own. In 2020 and 2021, after some big changes in both of their of their lives, they found themselves single. David knew already that he and Hope would make a great match and so he started to find reasons to spend more time with her. Hope was absolutely oblivious, even when her friends told her that David was interested. But David was persistent and eventually asked Hope to go on a date with her. She hesitantly agreed. She was not sure she was looking for a relationship. They had a great first date at Fogo de Chao, sitting outside in the freezing cold due to COVID restrictions. David knew that night that Hope was the one for him. Hope, in her usual over thinking way, took a bit longer to come around. But once she did, she fell hard. After only a few months of dating the couple knew that was what they wanted for forever and began discussing their future together. David asked Hope's dad for permission to marry her and bought a ring. He proposed to her in front of some of her closest friends at the end of the school year and she said Yes! (Obviously because that is why we are all here). And these two nerds will live happily ever after, together.
