Like many modern love stories, ours started with the tap of a finger. We met on Hinge — neither of us quite expecting to find the one — but the universe had other plans. Our first date was on St. Patrick’s Day in 2024. We met up at a bar close to Hope’s apartment at the time, after Avery hinted he would be out with friends “close to her” that evening. The night was full of laughter, and a little bit of luck, and before they knew it, they had talked all night. What began as a casual meetup quickly turned into something we’d both been hoping for (even if we didn’t fully realize it yet). Who knew that one app and one lucky holiday would lead us to our forever? From the moment we met, it felt like we had known each other forever. We quickly started spending all our time together — like two puzzle pieces that finally clicked. Meeting each other's families and friends came naturally, and before long, we were making memories on vacations with friends, sharing new experiences, including quite a few hilarious golf outings in which Avery proved to Hope that he is the most patient man in the world. We realized that life just made more sense together. Whether we were just running errands or dressing up for a date night, everything felt better when we were together. It truly didn’t matter what we were doing — as long as we had each other, even the simplest moments became something special. ​​It was during the annual Fourth of July trip with Avery’s friends that everything became beautifully clear. Surrounded by summer skies and good times, we shared our first “I love yous.” From that moment on, it was official — our love was real, deep, and only just beginning. Since then, it’s continued to grow and flourish with each passing day. Somewhere between the laughter, the quiet moments, and the everyday adventures, we figured out what we’d both been looking for: a partner who made life feel fuller, easier, and just... better. We moved in together into Avery’s apartment shortly after that trip, and Hope accepted a job in the next town over to be closer to him, already anticipating our lives together. A few short months later, we found the perfect starter home — a cozy space that instantly felt like ours. From picking paint colors to turning empty rooms into memories, building this home together has been one of our favorite chapters so far. It’s where we’ve laughed, planned our future, and learned that home isn’t just a place — it’s wherever we’re together. Sometimes, you meet someone and everything just falls into place. There’s no overthinking, no second-guessing — just a quiet kind of certainty that this is where you’re meant to be. That’s how it felt when we found each other.
