Our Story

Hope and Asher’s story began sophomore year of high school, back when Hope was 15 and Asher was 16. At first, they were just classmates—sharing occasional smiles and conversations in the hallways—but there was something about Asher that stood out even then. His warm smile and kind heart made him feel different. Being around him felt easy, steady, and safe, like home. As the months passed, they began spending more time together. They’d walk to class side by side, linger in the cafeteria sharing lunches, and sit together in between periods, soaking up every chance to talk and laugh. Hope still remembers how Asher would help her study before big tests (he always seemed to have the answers), and how those little moments made even the most ordinary school days feel special. By February 1, 2019, they officially became a couple—and from that day forward, they’ve been building a life together. The early years were filled with simple, sweet memories: Friday night basketball games, practices, and waiting in the parking lot just for a few extra minutes together. They grew up side by side, learning how to love each other through every season of life. When high school ended, life shifted. They navigated college at different schools, balancing busy schedules and the challenges of medium distance. But their commitment to each other never wavered. They made time for weekly dinner dates halfway between campuses, weekend beach trips, and spontaneous Raleigh day adventures. No matter where they were, they always found their way back to each other. Asher graduated from NC State University in December 2024, and Hope graduated from Campbell University in May 2025. After years of growing together, it felt only natural to take the next step. On a sunny afternoon, July 6, 2025, Asher asked Hope to marry him. It wasn’t an elaborate proposal—no pictures, no videos—just an intimate, quiet moment shared between the two of them. A moment that felt perfectly like them: simple, sweet, and deeply meaningful. From high school hallways to college roads and weekend beach trips, their love has grown stronger with each passing year. Now, they’re ready to begin the next chapter surrounded by the people who have been part of their journey.
