It's Finally Happening

We met at a pool party at Janet's house, he had just gotten back from a month long visit in Florence, and I had only been in South Bend for about a week. I was enthralled with his travel stories and we just clicked. We met again when a big group of Megan's friends got together and we talked for a few hours. He invited me over for a welcome to town dinner, we again talked for hours and the rest was history.

After opening up all of our Christmas gifts, he said he and Leo had one more to get. They went back into the hallway and just Earl came out. He got down on one knee, told me he loved me and other amazing and sweet words. Suddenly Leo yelled, "I counted to ten." Ran into the living room holding the ring box. They opened it together, I obviously said yes, and Earl put theb ring on my finger.

I wanted to wait to tell my whole family all at once when we got together for our Christmas. To do that I kept my ring off until the following day when we were doing our gift exchanges, Jonah knew about it, since I had asked him to record their reactions. I offered to pass out most of the gifts, hoping they'd see the ring as I handed them their gifts. Unfortunately they did not notice, so after many exasperated looks between Jonah, Earl, and I, I finally just announced that Earl proposed and we were greeted with many happy shouts of joy
