Samuel: "God has heard" Samuel is the name Matt and Sarah both felt God gave them for their first child when they had only been dating 2 years. The name was more than a future hope for them, but it also signified God's faithfulness to fulfill His promises and God's provision in the face of hardship. Sarah struggles with Tokophobia: a phobia of childbirth and pregnancy. For over 5 years, God has shown His faithfulness to Sarah by patiently working on her heart so that her dream of being a mom was not threatened by her phobia. He was faithful to both Sarah & Matt in the midst of their greatest fears and deepest hopes. The name represents a deep truth that God has heard their cries, their hopes, their dreams, and their fears. He has heard them, and has shown Himself to be unquestionably faithful. Matt and Sarah were both confident they were having a son when they found out they were having a baby in January, because God had personally given Sarah & Matt the name Samuel 8 years prior. Please join us in celebrating the long-prayed for arrival of Samuel Lyon Hoover this October.
