The couple met at the University of Georgia (go dawgs!). It was a Tuesday in August 2017 when Leah heard there was a surprise sports-themed date night on Thursday, and she needed to “draft a date.” She sent out a quick text to her girlfriends to see if anyone knew any (cute) guys. Thankfully, a dear friend did. David was falling for her on the very first date and soon asked Leah to a cup of coffee after classes. There they connected and quickly became a pair. Leah and David were inseparable the rest of their time at UGA. By their senior year, David and Leah knew that they wanted to share their life together. Everything lined up for them as they ended up in Atlanta, GA with Leah starting graduate school and David starting his career as a civil engineer. The couple soon found life after college in Atlanta was full of wonderful new experiences, adventures, and friends. In November of 2019 David and Leah returned to Athens, GA for the UGA vs. Missouri football game. On Saturday, they enjoyed a tailgate with their college friends and cheered on the dawgs to a glorious 27-0 victory that night. That Sunday, November 11th, Leah and David went to brunch downtown together at one of their favorite spots. David then suggested a walk around campus. When they arrived at Herty Field, David proposed to Leah. After Leah’s immediate “YES!” they called their family and celebrated over a beer at Creature Comforts, another local favorite. They will be getting married in Huntsville, AL and cannot wait to celebrate with their friends and family!

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, David and I have made the decision to postpone our wedding reception. We are still having a private family ceremony on February 27th, 2021, but have moved our reception to August 7th, 2021. An invitation with reception details will follow. We cannot wait to see everyone and celebrate in August!
