Question

Will you be moving forward with your May 15 wedding?

Answer

Yes! We have decided not to postpone our wedding again and plans are to move forward with our May 15, 2021 wedding. For various reasons, it is too difficult to push back the date later into the year, and we're anxious to get married! We will take all the necessary precautions for COVID-19, but we certainly understand if you are not able to travel to Savannah.

Question

What safety precautions are you taking for COVID-19?

Answer

If you do plan on attending our wedding, we are thrilled! Your health and safety is our top priority, and we plan to take the precautions necessary. The great news is that 90% of our guests are vaccinated against COVID-19! If you haven't gotten your vaccine by our wedding, we ask that you get a COVID test and quarantine prior to traveling to Savannah. Our ceremony will be outdoors, but our reception venue is an indoor space that fits 150 people. We don't expect more than 50 guests so there will be plenty of room to space out. We will limit the number of people sitting at each table, and your dinner will be a plated meal. We also ask that our guests wear masks when you are not eating or drinking. We do hope that COVID cases continue to go down and that things will be a little bit better by May. Savannah is a great, walkable city where you can carry open drinks so you can enjoy as much time outside if the weather permits.

Question

How do I get around Savannah?

Answer

Free parking is very hard to come by in Savannah, but the good news is Savannah is a very walkable city. So, if you are staying in Savannah's historic district, both our ceremony and reception venue will be easy to access by foot or by Uber or Lyft. We have also rented an open-air trolley to help transport some of our guests to the ceremony site and all of our guests to the reception site (Soho South Cafe) from the ceremony site (Chatham Square). Savannah Pedi Cabs are also a great way to get around if you aren't able to find an Uber/Lyft or if you don't want to walk. The pedi-cabs are two-person bike cabs so please keep in mind it will take you longer to get somewhere vs. getting in a car. Pedi-cabs can be reserved or called on the spot by calling (912) 232-7900. Please give them at least 10-15 minutes to get to your location before pick up. Trips start at $10 and the cabs do take cards.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Garden cocktail attire. Please note Savannah will be warm and humid in May.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Unfortunately, due to the capacity limitation and guest list reductions for COVID-19 precautions, we are not able to accommodate plus ones for all of our guests. On your invitation, you will find the number of seats we have reserved in your honor.

Question

Are children welcome at the wedding?

Answer

Although we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adult-only affair. We hope you take this opportunity to enjoy a date night with you and your spouse! We are also trying to limit capacity at our venues due to COVID-19 safety so we are not able to invite children. We are able to recommend excellent childcare services in Savannah should you wish to hire babysitters for the evening.

Question

Can I park at the ceremony site or the reception venue?

Answer

There is street parking around Chatham Square if you choose to drive to our ceremony. Most street parking in historic downtown Savannah is paid. We will be offering trolley shuttles from our ceremony to our reception venue. If you choose to drive to our reception site, there is a parking lot right next to the Soho South Cafe building however, it is not owned by the venue so it is a self-pay lot. Street metered parking is also available and do not need to be paid Monday - Saturday after 8:00 pm and not at all on Sundays.

Question

If I am not able to make it to your wedding, will I be able to watch via live-stream?

Answer

Unfortunately, our outdoor ceremony space doesn't have power plugs or internet connection so there is no way for us to live stream our wedding for guests who are not able to make it in person. We will be sure to share pictures and videos from our day with you after the wedding!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will start promptly at 5:00 pm at Chatham Square. Please arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand to find your seat.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Invitations will be mailed out at the end of February. Please RSVP by no later than April 1, 2021. Thank you!

Question

I have a food allergy. Can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! Please email us at HongryForSones@gmail.com and let us know what we can do to accommodate your food allergy.
