Summer of 2021: This love story started because of the love of two other people. Jessica was set to be a bridesmaid and Anthony was set to be the best man in the upcoming nuptials of Jordenne and David. When their wedding website was released with pictures of the wedding party, Anthony knew love at first sight when he saw it. He asked the bride and groom for Jessica’s phone number multiple times over the next few months, but Jessica continued to say no for one reason or another. But his persistence paid off, and Jessica never forgot about Anthony’s interest (and even occasionally stalked his Facebook). September 2021: While at Jordenne’s Bachelorette party, Jessica decided to message Anthony for the first time on Instagram. Or as Anthony likes to say, “she slid in my DM’s!” They continued talking non-stop and getting to know each other over text and FaceTime for the next month. October 2021: Jessica and Anthony finally met face-to-face at Jordenne and David’s wedding. Anthony asked Jessica to be his girlfriend at the wedding, and they spent the entire weekend in Detroit falling for each other. The rest is history.
