Brett and Bailey were both living in Reno. Brett was working for Truckee Police while Bailey was attending University of Nevada-Reno. Due to busy schedules and a modern world they needed help finding people to date. Luckily, they both chose Plenty of Fish. They were too busy to meet each other at first, but who knew it was meant to be. After a couple of months Brett asked Bailey to meet again. Bailey and Brett went on their first date to Wasting Arrows (an archery range in Reno) in May of 2014. Bailey was the only one to hit a bullseye. Brett followed up their first date by cooking an amazing homemade plate of chicken parmesan. The next night Brett cooked a homemade chicken pot pie and Bailey was officially hooked.
Brett spent a lot of time getting his proposal idea together. Without Bailey's knowledge, Brett pulled off designing and purchasing a ring, sneaking home Bailey's favorite bottle of wine from their favorite winery, and tricking Bailey into going out to the Heath family campsite. He was planning on hosting a good friend's bachelor party there but that winter there was quite a bit of snow and he wasn't sure if the campsite would be accessible. He decided to take a practice trip to see if he could get through the snow. Bailey didn't want him to get stuck in the woods alone so she said she would go too. Little did she know she was playing right into his plan. After making it to the campsite, Brett surprised Bailey with a proposal, a bottle of Moon Mountain wine, and a picnic for two in the snow. Not so surprisingly to Brett, Bailey said YES!
