LET'S CELEBRATE

Kate decided to cut all her hair off and Dave was into it so he complimented the new cut after microbiology class in medical school at UC Irvine. We ended up crossing paths multiple times that following weekend. Then Kate lost her phone so the dating relationship went back to the beautiful days before cell phones, which made the initial dating a lot more fun. Our paths crossed again when Dave almost ran Kate over with his bike because Kate was not looking and then Dave invited Kate on their first date at a romantic Cuban restaurant. The rest is history.

Dave knew this was the spot as it is our favorite long boarding surf break...it still has that 60s, old California surfing vibe. After coming in from a surf session, Kate was warming up in the car and Dave was secretly setting up the proposal scene with candles and champagne. Dave then popped the question on one knee under the shady Dog Patch. It was a beautiful moment. We also knew we had a challenging time ahead as we would be doing a long distance relationship in the near future. But we made it work through 4 grueling years of residency and we are now finally living together in Seal Beach. We look forward to celebrating with all of you on Friday, Sept 10, 2021 in our favorite city, San Diego!
