Kaela and Andrew met second semester of senior year at CJ’s, the kind of college bar with sticky floors, sugary drinks, and just enough chaos to make it unforgettable. It was loud, crowded, and probably broke a few health codes (it was perfect). A few months later, they were doing long distance. For more than a year, they took turns making the drive and counting down to the next visit. Kaela spent a lot of time at Andrew’s Oxford house, living alongside three football roommates and whatever was happening in that kitchen at any given moment. There were competitive games of Sorry and “spit,” constant noise, and not much privacy. It was chaotic, but they learned to be best friends over anything else. When Andrew visited Kaela’s family, the setting changed. He fit in easily. He was steady and consistent in a way that mattered. Her parents saw it right away, and understood the miles they traveled to see eachother. After graduation, they chose Fort Myers and signed their first lease together. That’s where their life really began. First jobs. First place that was fully theirs. No roommates. No countdown to the next goodbye. Fort Myers felt easy. They’d drive to the beach after work just to watch the sunset. Some nights they stayed until it was dark without checking the time. Weekends meant loading up the car with towels and heading toward the water. Ice cream stops became routine. Friends visited and understood quickly why they loved it there. When Mick came along, their place felt settled in a new way. A few years later, they moved to Tampa for the next chapter. They carried everything they built in Fort Myers with them. Andrew proposed there surrounded by both of their families. They’re so excited to tie the knot right on the river they started their lives together and they’re so glad you can be part of it!
