Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Since we both have lived on our own for some time, we are not in much need for material things. Thus, we have four cash funds set up that you are welcome to contribute as much or as little as you wish! These funds include our honeymoon, immigration fees, our ministry, and a small home fund. The only additional gifts we are expecting at the wedding is your lovely presence! :)

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests are welcome to arrive anytime after 2pm, and the ceremony will start at 3pm. There will be some refreshments and games available before the ceremony.

How do I get there?

Answer

More details on this are coming soon! There are a few airports about a two-hour drive from the Palace. Ultimately, you will need a car to get to the Palace. If you plan to travel by plane, we can help with transportation to and from the airport. Even if you haven't booked flights yet, please note in your RSVP if you plan to fly and when you want to arrive and leave. That way we can plan pick-ups accordingly!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Yes. All events will be hosted at the Bluegrass Palace which has lots of parking.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Due to the season, all wedding events will be indoors.

Do you have any hotel recommendations? Have you reserved blocks of rooms?

Answer

Because we are not familiar with the area, we do not have any specific recommendations. There seem to be some nice hotels in Prestonsburg, KY - about a 20 minute drive from the Palace. We are not reserving blocks of rooms.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Just as we are excited to get all dressed up, we are asking others to dress up as well! We are leaning into our "Palace" venue, and encourage guests to wear formal attire that makes them feel beautiful and elegant. Our official dress code is "Semi-Formal": Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. Please refrain from wearing white or black.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes! We are so excited to celebrate with our little friends! We will have coloring pages and other activities for them during the wedding events. If your children need any accommodations (i.e. dietary meal options, cribs, etc.), please specify that in your RSVP. We will do our best to accomadate!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Our wedding dream is to spend high-quality time with our closest friends and family! As such, we kindly ask that you do not plan to bring a plus-one.

What food and drinks will be served?

Answer

We are still finalizing our menu. There will be some light bites and drinks during the cocktail hour and a selection of entrees for the reception. We will have a small selection of cocktails and wine as well as water, coffee, tea, and soft drinks.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, there is space to note that on your RSVP. We are planning to have at least one gluten-free entree available for the reception. We will do our best to accommodate additional requests.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Friday night will be the welcome event/game night. Sunday morning will be a time for praise and worship. Everyone is welcome to come and go as they please. No RSVP is required for these events.
