As broke 18 year old's, we decided to have a courthouse wedding in June of 2018. After almost 5 years we have decided to finally have a proper ceremony. We have chosen to wait for several different reasons including finishing college, buying a house, and getting settled into married life. This vow renewal is going to be held just like a normal wedding, except the bride and groom have already been married for an extended period of time, plus we still kind of like each other.

Mindy and Matt met when they were 15 volunteering in kids ministry at local church. Shortly thereafter started dating and graduated high school at 16, by 17 they were living in Los Angeles working with homeless families and kids in the projects, then came home and got married by 18, rented their first apartment at 19, by 20 Mindy had been accepted to nursing school and by 21 Matt had become a Children's Pastor at the same church where they met volunteering. At 22 they bought a house, and at 23 Matt became a youth pastor along with kids pastor, and Mindy became a pediatric emergency and trauma nurse. Finally at 24, they are having their proper ceremony. Life moves pretty quick. If you don't stop and look around once in a while you might miss it.

Matt and Mindy have yet to share a new years kiss. They have rung in every year with a wrestling match instead, since Matt refuses to kiss Mindy for New Years. It was a tradition that started when they were 16. At 16 Matt gave Mindy a stuffed animal German Shephard. At 23 Matt gave Mindy a real German Shephard. The song that Mindy is walking down the aisle to is called "Across the Stars" from the Star Wars prequels since Matt's idea of "making a move" was inviting Mindy to watch Star Wars movies. They are still huge Star Wars fans and have at least 4 lightsabers in their home. Mindy is in the process of becoming a SANE-A and SANE-P nurse in order to help victims of human sex trafficking. Mindy and Matt's "Uncle and Aunt" names are Uncle AHHH and Auntie Lou.
