Casey and Jordan met in Mrs. Smith's creative writing class in 2013. He had been randomly assigned to the elective and she had transferred into the class on the first day of the semester. They were fast friends, spending time together in and out of class every chance they had. Jordan realized pretty quickly that she liked Casey, who took a bit of time to come around.
Jordan's little sister, Hannah, deserves a lot of credit for the fact that they ended up together. Casey thought he had missed his chance to ask Jordan out until Hannah informed him that yes - Jordan still had a massive crush on him. So, on New Year's Eve 2013, Casey sent Jordan a text. Do you want to see a Frozen tomorrow? It hadn't been his first choice for a movie date, but Casey knew Jordan wanted to see it and that was good enough for him. Casey and Jordan suffered the embarrassment of a 'first date ever' picture that Jordan's mom insisted on, then went off to see the movie. It had been out for several weeks at that point, so Casey didn't think he needed to buy tickets to see it. When they got to AMC, every showing was sold out. Lucky for them, the Cinemark nearby still had some seats for the movie and they were able to make it in time to see the movie. Casey did all the right things that a guy should do on a first date - tickets, popcorn, and a movie. It was a good movie and perfect start to their new relationship, considering they've been together ever since.
