Chris and Jasmine were set-up by a mutual friend that has known them separately for years. Jasmine heard rumblings from friends that a guy from Wisconsin saw her pictures and said she was, "cute". Friends encouraged her to take the 400 mile trip to Wisconsin to go on a date with this mystery man. After much consideration, Jasmine agreed to take the trip to Wisconsin during her birthday weekend. Unfortunately, the trip was cancelled due to scheduling conflicts. However, this did not stop Chris from getting to know the young woman he heard so much about. After becoming friends on Facebook, and a message from her, Chris and Jasmine began talking through the Messenger App and building a friendship.

After talking for three months Chris and Jasmine were finally able to reschedule that date. Chris and Jasmine first met in-person standing in their friend's kitchen. They went out on a date with a group of mutual friends to The Long Table. Even though they both hated the food there, the company was fantastic. After, they went to their Church Building for a Sequence competition. Chris showed Jasmine around the church building and found themselves on the church stage, laughing and talking. There they knew something special was happening.

Chris had a plan. He was going to drive to Detroit and ask Jasmine to be his Girlfriend. However, he didn't plan on a snow storm bringing over 6 inches of snow. Now taking him and his friend's 8 hours to complete an 6 hour drive. With God's grace they made it to their destination. After a day of fun driving around Detroit Michigan. Chris asked Jasmine to be his Girlfriend on January 19th, 2019 at the Fowling Warehouse in Hamtramck, MI

Shortly after celebrating their one year anniversary, Jasmine started applying for jobs in Wisconsin to close their 400 mile gap. Jasmine had been praying and fasting for God to bless her move to Wisconsin. God moved quickly. After submitting one job application, Jasmine had a new job and was moving in less than a month.

Chris had created an elaborate scheme to propose to Jasmine. After the months of planning, it was time to execute it. Step one: Have Jasmine get her nails done with my mom and sister. Step 2: Lunch at Benvenuto Step 3: Lock my keys in the car. Step 4: Get my sister to pick us up. Step 5: Get in a fight with my sister and have her abandons us at a Gas Station. Step 6: Get my friends to pick us up and abandon us at a Walgreens. Step 7: Have my brother pick us up. Step 8: Drive to Pope Farms Step 9: Propose Step 10: Live Happily Ever After
