Ross asked me to go on a date, and we decided to go see the new movie, Ted. Ross worked that day in Roseville, so he had to drive all the way to Antelope, and then back to Roseville to meet me at the theater. What a NICE guy! We talked a little bit before the movie, we both laughed and enjoyed the movie, but I was nervous. After the movie, Ross walked me to my car, I gave him a hug and quickly said good night... For the next couple of days, we texted NON-STOP. Ross said he really wanted to see me again and I was excited for our next face to face. Our second date was Sushi! Ross had never had it before, so of course, I had to start things off with a sake bomb! The restaurant was full of families, it was dinner time. Ross was a little embarrassed about banging the table, making our shots fall into the beers, but it did break the ice. I could tell he was nervous, his eye was twitching and I thought it was so sweet. I made HIM nervous... Ross was a great sport about trying Sushi. He let me order our rolls and enjoyed each one. At the end of the night, Ross walked me to my car. I gave him a hug and then he said, “Maybe next time I will get a kiss?” A KISS? ... I’m sure my face turned bright red! I couldn’t believe that he said that to me! How could this guy ask for a kiss, when he was so nervous?
Ross and I have a special place in Tahoe that we found a few years ago while riding in our buggy. Out of the blue, Ross planned a quick day trip, and we headed up to our special place. I'm always up for an adventure, so I was really excited to get out of town. When we arrived in Southshore, he unloaded the trailer, started up the GoPro, and we headed up the trail towards our special lookout. After a bumpy ride, we arrived at the top of the mountain with beautiful, spiracular views! Ross directed me to position myself on an extended lookout boulder so he could take my picture. He then had me turn away for another shot. When I turned around, Ross had tears in his eyes, was on one knee and proposing. He asked if I would marry him, I was so surprised! Of course, I said yes! It turns out the reason he brought the GoPro was to film his proposal! Ross apparently had this planned out for a while, he said that he had to hurry up with this trip because he had the ring in hand and doesn't keep secrets well. Ross always knows how to surprise me. We are so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you!
