We're getting MARRIED!

It all started when I (Jordan) and my friend Holly were watching the Golden Bachelor and were inspired to get back on the dreaded dating apps. I had just about given up on the whole online dating scene when I came across Luke’s profile. Luke and I talked a couple of days before meeting up for coffee at Jittery Joe's after work. Luke pulled up in his pink Prius work car (shoutout to Lavender Pest Control!) and work uniform. We chatted for a while about the normal, awkward first date things. I did have to inquire about what his personal vehicle was (a truck, thankfully). The most shocking thing we discovered on the first date was that we were actually neighbors! Not just a little bit of a “we live in the same neighborhood” coincidence—no, we were talking about being only 250 steps away from each other the entire time! We couldn’t believe it. We had both been living our lives just a few doors down from each other without ever crossing paths. We spent the next year going on fun dates like UGA football games and Rock Lobsters Hockey games. Luke loves sports almost as much as he loves me. But don't worry; we did some things I enjoy too like going to flower farms and going out for sweet treats. As we continued dating and learning more about each other, we realized how many important life things we aligned on. We grew in our faiths together through dating as we went to church and small group together. The weekend after our one-year dating anniversary, Luke had planned a "one year adventure date," and I had no idea what a great adventure that would turn out to be. We went to the Founder's Garden on UGA's campus where Luke kept walking around with his hands in his pockets, and I was growing more and more suspicious. After a while, Luke got down on one knee and asked the question I had been waiting for. I had no idea he had been planning this for months! We had a surprise engagement party at his house afterwards and celebrated the exciting news with friends and family. We are so excited for this next chapter of our relationship and can't wait to celebrate with all of y'all on December 13!
