We met on September 21st, 2020, at a mutual friend's 21st birthday party at the University of Arkansas, our Junior year. That night, we immediately locked eyes across the table. As the night progressed, we talked for hours and got to know each other. After that, we both decided we weren’t ready to get into a relationship and needed to do some self-growth first. Almost a year later and after a lot of self-growth, we reconnected and realized we missed each other, and we were now open to giving it a shot. Since that night in August 2021, we have been together every day since!

Maccoy proposed to Hollye on December 13th, 2024 (yes, it was a Friday) in Austin, Texas. Mac planned the surprise by booking a romantic Airbnb and involving Hollye’s brother, Hayden, in it. Hayden had the task of sneaking into the Airbnb while Hollye and Maccoy were eating dinner at Bufalina, an amazing Italian restaurant. After dinner, they went to the Parade of Lights and walked around, taking in the beautiful Christmas lights. Then, he popped the question, and Hayden and his girlfriend, Avery, were there to capture the moment right in front of the Ferris wheel.
