McDowell Sonoran Preserve, Gateway Trailhead

A beautiful place to experience the Sonoran Desert and mountains. Gateway Trailhead is a great starting point for a walk or hike. Bring water, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes. It's best to hike in the morning, when the weather is cooler.

Desert Botanical Garden

A nice way to enjoy the landscape without doing a full hike. The garden features cacti, native plants, walking paths, and beautiful Sonoran Desert scenery.

Old Town Scottsdale

A walkable area with restaurants, bars, galleries, and boutiques. While you're there, we recommend the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and Scottsdale's Museum of the West.
