Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Late October in West Virginia typically brings cool, crisp fall weather, with daytime temperatures often in the 50s to low 60s and evenings dropping into the 40s or even upper 30s, especially in higher‑elevation areas like Evermore Ridge. There is also a chance of rain, and occasionally even early snow, so guests may want to bring layers and be prepared for chilly nighttime temperatures.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at the open‑air chapel around 3 PM, followed by a cocktail hour on the sunset patio and inside the bardominium. The reception will be held across both spaces as well. Because everything is partially outdoors, guests should be prepared for cooler fall temperatures; however, there will be a few patio heaters available if it gets chilly.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal. For women, this typically means cocktail‑length or midi dresses, dressy skirts with a nice blouse, or a tailored jumpsuit—usually in refined fabrics like chiffon, crepe, or satin, paired with heels, wedges, or dressy flats. For men, semi‑formal usually includes a suit or dress pants with a button‑down and blazer, with a tie encouraged but not required, along with dress shoes such as oxfords, loafers, or clean dress boots. Overall, the goal is to look put‑together and celebratory without going as formal as a gown or tuxedo. Colors are discussed at the beginning of the FAQ page.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Plus ones were included in our save‑the‑date count. Couples who received a save‑the‑date are already accounted for as each other’s guest. Single guests may reach out prior to the RSVP deadline to confirm whether we are able to accommodate an additional guest.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Your presence means the world to us. Since we aren’t able to provide lodging, we’ve created a list of recommended places to stay. Feel free to explore the options on our website and choose what works best for you.

Question

What are the dining options?

Answer

We don’t have a full list of dining options yet, but we will be offering a charcuterie table and a dessert table. Since we’re having a small, intimate wedding, we won’t be serving a traditional entrée.

Question

Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

Answer

Our charcuterie table will include a mix of meats, cheeses, crackers, and fruits. We’ll also have a variety of desserts. Final selections will be decided closer to the wedding, but we will make sure gluten‑free options are available.

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There will be a parking attendant on the wedding day, and parking at the venue is completely free for all guests.
