We cannot guarantee that rooms will be available. Shenandoah University's graduation ceremony is the same weekend as the wedding. We implore you to book early because failing to do so may mean that you will have to stay in a neighboring city, such as Martinsburg, WV or Front Royal, VA.

Yes, each hotel has policies relating to quiet time. It is the responsibility of guests to respect these rules, or the hotel will be able to take administrative or legal actions against those who violate these policies.
We do not have expectation as to the amount of money you spend on a gift. We will have a variety of items available on our registry but request that guests consider a cash gift of any amount, which will go towards our honeymoon and other related expenses. The Venmo link will be available soon.

We recommend business casual attire for the wedding. Ties are optional for men and we request that guests do not wear jeans, t-shirts, shorts, or sneakers. We also request that women refrain from wearing all white dresses as that color scheme is traditionally reserved for the bride.
Plan to arrive at least a half hour before the start of the ceremony. Please be aware the shuttles will start running from the hotels at 3 PM and the last shuttle will leave the hotels at 4:30 PM. The shuttles seat 14-18 people so please plan on taking an earlier shuttle. Arriving early will allow you to get situated, learn the layout of the facility, and catch up with friends and family before the ceremony begins. We will have light refreshments available as well.
There is a parking lot that can accommodate roughly 60 private passenger vehicles. We encourage you to consider using the shuttle that we will provide as well.
We take personal safety very seriously and we also want people to have a good time. To accomplish both these goals, we will have a private shuttle that will go to and from the venue and make stops at the Courtyard by Marriot and Hilton Garden Inn. The shuttle will start transporting people from the hotels to the venue roughly two hours before the start of the ceremony. The shuttles will be available beginning at 8:30 PM to transport people to the hotels and will also stop at the after-party location starting around 10 PM. We will release a shuttle schedule ahead of the event with definitive start and stop times.
Yes, the shuttle will charge for any special cleaning tasks that they need to perform. Examples are cleaning up fluids resulting from illness or inebriation, liquids spilled from containers, etc.
Since the venue is in a somewhat rural area, traffic volume is generally much lower than in an urban area. However, traffic in downtown Winchester can be heavy and we expect traffic on wedding weekend to be greater than usual due to the graduations happening during that time. We suggest using a navigation app, such as Waze, to help contend with traffic issues that may arise.

The wedding reception will have an open bar, the after party will have a cash bar so, if you plan on tipping at the reception, please bring cash. The after party venue has credit card machines so cash is not required at this event, but recommended.
