We decided to stick to a color palette of pastel pinks, light oranges, and butter yellow as opposed to an individual color. Because the ceremony is taking place on the grounds of Meadow Brook Hall in June, we wanted to opt for early summer florals to capture the vibrancy and beauty of the setting. Think garden party!
The dress code for the wedding is formal. While we want you to be comfortable on our big day, we ask that you leave the jeans, sneakers, and other casual attire at home. For those opting to wear a dress, we ask that you wear a maxi or floor length gown.
Although we love your little ones, we ask that our wedding remain child free.
Please notify the bride and groom of any necessary requests via the RSVP so that we may notify the venue.
Please arrive to Meadow Brook Hall 30 minutes to an hour before our ceremony, or no later than 4:30pm. There will be refreshments provided upon arrival, and you will then be escorted to your seat.
Unless otherwise specified on your invite or by the bride and groom, we ask that you do not bring a plus one. We want our union to be an intimate one, and the guest capacity of the venue is limited.
Meadow Brook Hall has multiple parking lots available for our guests on the grounds within walking distance to the Hall. The parking lots are available at no cost. There is no parking allowed in the front circle and the courtyard as these are designated no-parking zones.
The ceremony is outdoors in the Pegasus Garden. The cocktail hour is both indoors and outdoors depending on how the guest would like the spend the hour as guests have the opportunity to mingle outdoors on the terrace, or receive complimentary guided tours of the mansion. The following reception is indoors.
In the event of poor weather, the entire event will held indoors within Meadow Brook Hall. The primary change will involve the ceremony being moved from the Pegasus Garden to the Ballroom.
There is no smoking allowed in the hall, including cigarettes and E-Cigarettes, and there is no smoking within 50 feet of the buildings/structures on the property.
The art works and furnishings absolutely may not be touched, disturbed, altered, or moved. All signs that prohibit sitting and/or prohibit food and beverage consumption must be adhered to at all times. There is no flash photography permitted inside any of the structures at the Hall, and no photos of paintings and/or prints are permitted inside any of the structures at the Hall because of copyright issues.
