We were just kids when we fell in love...

Michael and I met around the time I moved to Arizona, in November of 2010, in an unconventional way. We met online. And before you ask, no not on one of those dating websites, just regular ol' social media. We started off as friends and got to know each other better. Then Michael asked me to be his girlfriend on January 5th 2011, which was one of my happiest days, but with him I've had too many to count. Our first date was just as unconventional as how we met, he took me to meet his parents. At the time I was nervous, hesitant really, but then I met them and saw how amazing they are, and couldn't wait to be a part of their family. Seasons passed and we fell more in love. We began making more memories together, and then we decided it was time to live together after about a year and half of dating. It started as just Michael and I, then we added our cat named Kitty, shortly after we got our other cat Luvy, and then we rescued our pups Zuzu. Then in July of 2014, we made a drastic change. We moved from Arizona to Illinois, to be close to my family. I would be lying if I said it was an easy transition because it wasn't, but we've made it work for us. And the rest of our lives together is still being written.

We are still kids, but we're so in love...

At the end of September 2016, we decided to take a trip to the beautiful state of Massachusetts, to a town called Woburn, where Michael grew up. I instantly fell in love with everything there. The people, the food, the city, and those old Victorian houses. On October 2nd we went to visit a place on my bucket list, Salem, where the infamous witch trials took place. Supposedly, this is where Michael originally planned to propose, but ended up not going through with it. When we got back from Salem, I was exhausted, and didn't want to do anything for the rest of the night. But Michael persisted, begged even, that we go hang with his friends. So we did. We all went for a drive to the Zakim Bridge in Boston and walked around, until I went to sit on a bench. Apparently, Michael and his friends were talking all that day to plan the proposal, so they both left Michael and I alone for a couple minutes. There I was minding my own business, taking in the site of the bridge, when Michael got down on one knee. Honestly, I have no idea what he said, I was too shocked and happy to even understand what was going on. The only words I heard were 'Will you marry me?'. Of course me being me, and it being almost 6 years later, I said 'Its about damn time!' His face lit up with a huge smile and he slipped his grandmothers ring on my finger, and I officially became the luckiest girl in the world.

For all the days along the way
