Our ceremony and reception will take place indoors at the Elk's Lodge in Washington, PA. The address is 138 E Maiden Street, Washington, PA 15301.
Our ceremony will begin punctually at 4:30pm. Please arrive 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time. The doors will close at 4:15, after which time entry will be denied until cocktail hour.
There is plenty of free parking in the lot at the Elk's and a small lot is also available across the street, as needed.
Our venue is 30 miles from the Pittsburgh International Airport. We have also reserved a block of hotel rooms for Friday and Saturday night at the Springhill Suites by Mariott (close to the venue) and also at Hyatt Place at Hollywood Racetrack & Casino (15 minutes from the venue). When you reserve your room, let them know you are a part of the Jones-Ackerman wedding to receive the group discount rate. Rooms must be reserved by 7/1 to receive the group rate. The bride and groom will be staying at the Hyatt.
We'd love to see you all dressed up! However, there is no formal dress code as we want our guests to feel comfortable. Our suggestion is semi-formal cocktail attire. Please avoid the following colors: white, ivory, light tan, and forest/emerald green.
While we love the little ones, we are keeping our wedding strictly an adult-only celebration (except for our nieces/nephews that have already been asked to be a part of the ceremony). We encourage you to use this evening as a date night!
If your invitation includes "and guest", then yes! Otherwise, while we wish we could have everyone present on our special day, space/budget limitations only allow us to accommodate those guests formally invited on your invitation envelope. Therefore, seating, meal, and drink accommodations will only be provided for those guests formally invited. Thanks for understanding!
We kindly ask that you refrain from smoking/vaping on the property out of respect for our venue, the bride and groom, and our guests. We want everyone to be comfortable and there is plenty of time for that after our celebration. Thank you for understanding!
Yes! The drinks are on us, the hangover is on you! Please drink responsibly. Please also note that outside drinks are strictly prohibited at our venue. (The bar will be open until a certain price point. While we don't anticipate reaching that, it would be good to have some cash around just in case the party gets a little crazy.)
If you are not sure you are able to make it, please hold off on your RSVP until you have a more concrete answer (up to 4 weeks prior to the wedding). With a family as large as ours, we are relying heavily on our RSVP's to ensure proper accommodations are made and that our vendors receive an accurate count.
We are required to provide a final guest count to our vendors by a certain date. As such, if you do not RSVP on time, you will be marked as "not attending". We will miss you, but hope to get together soon!
We prefer an unplugged ceremony, so we ask that you kindly put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony. After that, snap away and share any memories to our joint photo album (QR code will be available at the reception) or using our wedding hash-tag (to be revealed on 8/1). We'd love to re-live the day through your eyes!
Both the bride and the groom will be participating in the dollar dance. If you wish to participate, bring a dollar or two and meet us on the dance floor!
See the home page for a lineup of potential line dances we will be doing!!
