Isaac and I met on April 14th, 2018 in Manhattan, Kansas. Isaac's oldest brother, Clayton and his wife Callie, arranged for us to meet. Callie and I met in graduate school at K-State and became great friends. Callie knew I was looking to be set up with a Godly man to date and she took my desire seriously. Callie and Clayton had arranged a day for us to meet in Manhattan, where they were living at the time. When Isaac and I met, I was living in Kansas City and finishing up my externships for grad school, and Isaac was living in Wichita. We hit it off that day and before we parted ways, Isaac asked for my number. A couple days later, Isaac called to ask if it would be okay if we continued getting to know one another in pursuit of a potential Godly relationship. In August 2018, I moved out to Hutchinson, Kansas for my first job as a speech-language pathologist, which was a leap of faith considering I didn't know anyone in that part of Kansas. In the time between April and August, we continued to talk long distance, meeting up only a few times in-person, not knowing what would come from our "undefined" friendship. Starting in August 2018, we got to see each other more, almost every weekend! Hutchinson and Wichita were an hour from each other, and after three weeks of us living closer, we decided to officially date on August 30, 2018. For a little under two years, we lived in different cities, making trips every weekend to spend time with each other. In June 2020, I moved to Wichita. These months of living closer helped us further solidify our desire to get married. On February 13, 2021, Isaac proposed! (Story written by Holly)
