FAQs

Question

So the wedding is cancelled. What now?

Answer

We will celebrate with our guests some time in the future when it is safe to do so. Stay tuned!

Question

I already paid for my room. Can I get a refund?

Answer

Yes! Please email the Camp McDowell Event Coordinator, Jordan Smith, at jordan@campmcdowell.org and let her know you would like a room refund.

Question

Are you still getting married?

Answer

Yes! We plan to have an intimate wedding in our home town on our original wedding date with immediate family only. However, covid-19 is unpredictable, so anything could happen!

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

RSVPs can either be sent via the perforated section of the hard copy invitations or through the website under the RSVP section. If the website does not recognize a name, please contact us directly so we can sort it out!

Question

Where do I go once I get to Camp?

Answer

There is a reason Camp's address is "DeLong Road"! After a long road, St. Francis chapel will appear on your left.

Question

Where are the lodges?

Answer

Parsley commons is located in Bethany Village. When you come to signage, turn right into Bethany village and follow the signs to Parsley Commons. You will be assigned to a lodge. Lodges have hanging signs with their names.

Question

How do I sign up for lodging?

Answer

On the website directory, click on "travel". A link will be posted to sign up for lodging.

Question

What are we having for dinner?

Answer

We will be serving a choice of Chicken Parmesan or Panned Tilapia. The sides will be salad, brussel sprouts, and roasted fingerling potatoes. The tilapia and sides are GF, but guests with celiac disease may want to bring their own meal, as cross contamination is possible in the catering kitchen.

Question

Where can I eat breakfast and lunch on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday?

Answer

Camp McDowell has a wonderful kitchen staff! When registering for lodging, the link provides a section to select how many additional meals you would like to eat at camp. These meals will be at Stough Lodge, a short drive or moderate walk away from the lodges. Make your way to the main road and turn right. Go past the chapel and field and you will see a large lodge and parking lot on the left. Park there and walk into the left side of the building into the dining area. Otherwise, feel free to bring groceries or head into Jasper for some grub!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The attire is dressy or dressy casual. A quick google search should help! Somewhere in between jeans and a suit :) Think Sunday attire!

Question

Can I bring a +1?

Answer

Please check with us before inviting a +1. We have to keep our guest list to a certain length but want to be able to include as many of our close family and friends as possible. +1 guests can take away from this.
