A little guide to celebrating like a local—German style. From traditional dances to party games and helpful phrases, this section will have you blending right in (or at least confidently trying!). Dances - The Walz Dance the fameous 1, 2, 3! With the link you can quickly learn the basics for the slow walz. There will be enough Germans to also explain what you need to do. It can be characterized with the theme less rules, but more spins. On YouTube we only found german tutorials. Just apply learning by doing and have fun. German Sayings - "Eselsbrücke" - literally a donkey bridge: a mental cue that helps you to remember something - "Wer rastet der rostet" - the one taking a break will rust soon - "Originale Nichtskönner" - someone incapable of performing anything well - "Das ist nicht das Gelbe vom Ei" - This is not the yellow from the egg. Not the best performance. - "Ich glaub dir brennt der Helm" - I believe your helmet is burning. You cannot believe what someone else is doing or saying.
