Niagara Falls is always a must-see. There is the American and Canadian side to explore. Make sure you bring your passport.
Every night of the week, there is an amazing fire work show at 10PM over the falls.
For a day hike, you can go to Devil's Hole State Park and walk down into the Niagara Gorge below the falls, along the rapids.
