In 2017 our paths first crossed, a couple of right swipes created a new connection- new contacts in our phones, a new social media follower, but not much more. It stayed that way for 6 years until fate crossed our paths once more. Another swipe right, another short conversation and more silence... this time the pause only lasted for a few weeks when Holly decided to send a DM and ask "are you going to take me on a date or what?". That first date happened on January 15th 2023, the second one followed two days later, then three days later and so on. For the next few months we would drive back and forth from Manotick to Ottawa seeing each other daily but we weren't technically "dating"- thats because Holly had a rule, you have to last three months before we could make it official. She was convinced that people show their true colours after that point in a relationship- she wasnt wrong. Holly learned quick that Eric could match her pettiness and after making her wait nearly 5 months Eric made it official on May 7th 2023 on their first trip together to London, England. Only a year after that, Eric gave up his one bedroom condo and moved in with Holly & her cat Zaya in Manotick, which quickly became Eric’s cat. If you know Holly, you know how much patience she has when it comes to waiting for something she loves and so, one year later, at her Nana & Pops orchard, Eric dropped to one knee and made it official for life. Soon it will be time for you all to witness us take the next step in our life journey together and be there to celebrate our love. We cant wait to see you all this summer. - Eric & Holly
