Literally whatever you want it to be. This is a dance party so wear clothes/shoes that you are comfortable moving in! We wanna see you be YOU. The ground outside can get quite dusty, so just be aware of that when you are making your shoe choice! They will get dirty. Pinterest Outfit Inspiration! Food and drink will be available for purchase at the venue! There’s a full service bar with both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks and a food truck selling options from its BBQ menu. You can see the menu here: https://www.thezumbador.co/menu
Sure are! There are picnic tables and hammocks throughout the venue.
The music can be pretty loud on the dance floor. We recommend wearing ear plugs!! Loops makes some really fun and colorful options (https://us.loopearplugs.com) but the good ole foamy ones will work just as well! We will also have foam earplugs available for folks who don't have them!
We invite you to be present and connected on the dance floor, so we ask that you do not take out your phone in that part of the space. Everywhere else is free game though! We will have a photographer throughout the day, so there will be plenty of dance floor action shots.
From the Nowadays website: "The wheelchair entrance to our indoor space is in the driveway, which is the access point most commonly used to enter Nowadays. During parties the driveway gate is locked, so please ask staff at the street entrance for assistance with entry. All of our bathrooms are gender-neutral. There is one accessible stall indoors. Just ask any Nowadays staff member for the key, and they can show you the way. During parties, seating is available both on and off the dance floor. While we don’t have a dedicated quiet space indoors during parties, the booths next to coat check are a little quieter, and the deck and back yard a little quieter than that. Most nighttime parties include the use of strobe lights and water based haze. The ground in our back yard is rough dirt with some gravel, and the dance floor, which is in use on Sundays between mid-May and late October for Mister Sunday, is made of a soft playground material (it’s also a little uneven). There is one accessible bathroom outdoors, and places to eat are available at picnic tables and on benches."
Alas, no! We love your kids but children will be a bit too much to manage at this particular event. <3
Unfortunately yes. The venue is outside with a fair amount of grass, dirt, and trees. So mosquitos are very happy there. We will provide bug spray and there will be citronella candles around the space but feel free to take your own precautions.
Yes! There are QR code operated lockers available for purchase right inside the main entrance to the back yard. They aren't huge but they will hold a light jacket, small purse, etc.
The party goes on!! There are umbrellas throughout the space and we will have a limited number of ponchos for folks.
