Like many modern love stories, Holly and Dean met on a dating app in October 2022. If Dean is telling the story, he would give Holly a hard time for turning him down on one dating app before matching with him on a different dating app. Holly would say it’s all about timing. After talking on the dating app for about a week, they made plans for a first date. If you know Dean, you know that he likes to try new things. So, he offered to meet Holly at one of her favorite places in Lexington, Mirror Twin and Rolling Oven Pizza. By the end of the fantastic, perfect night, they planned a second date at another of Holly’s favorite places. By early November after a handful of other great dates, they decided to make the relationship official. On December 3, 2023, after just over a year of dating, Dean planned a special date day and was regularly reminding Holly that “we have a thing that day”. After brunch, a couples massage, a distillery tour, and a walk in the park, Holly began to wonder if her suspicions of a proposal were wrong. And then Dean took her to dinner at the Kentucky Castle. After a fabulous dinner, they went out to look at the Christmas lights around the castle. There, using a jar of 52 date ideas given to him by Holly’s sister, he gave Holly a fortune cookie to check off “go to a fortune teller”. The fortune read “You will have a long and happy marriage”. We are so excited to start our long and happy marriage together, and we can’t wait to celebrate with all of you!
