Blyden just cringes when I tell this story & I just smile! We were both attending Planet Fitness on a regular basis back then. I was putting my weights away & he was working on his legs & our eyes locked for a second. I flashed him a smile & I waved awkwardly, then continued walking. I started doing squats & all of the sudden he was right beside me! He introduced himself, after being a gentlemen of course & letting me finish my set. Blyden asked if I would like to accompany him to Taco Cabana sometime? & my reply was "No". After his shocked face turned back into a smile, I told him that he could take me to Los Cucos though. We had our first date at Los Cucos that following week & spent most Monday nights there our first year of dating. Monday's are now forever deemed "Margarita Monday's" & this is one of the many reasons why I love him so much.

If you know anything about Holly, you know she loves the snow. Anything to do with Christmas & winter is right up her alley. She planned a winter vacation with her family to Denver & Breckenridge, Colorado in November of 2020. I knew this was my moment. I got the ring, we packed our bags, & headed to the airport to catch our flight to The Mile High City. Going through security, I had to take the ring from my jeans pocket & place it in my coat pocket. I thought it was secure. Turns out it was just moments from falling out right in front of her before I saw it! Crisis avoided. We spent two fun filled days in Denver prior to heading up to the mountain. The day we were scheduled to leave, a HUGE snowstorm was set to hit Breckenridge. The drive was magical. It was the most breathtaking scenery we had ever seen! & we made it before the storm. We spent multiple days exploring the city, playing in the snow, and nights hanging out by the fire. It was the final day of our trip, now or never. I asked her to take a walk with me that morning. We walked through the snow, with the mountains surrounding us, to Lookout Point. While taking in the spectacular views, she turns to me & I get down on one knee. She asks "what are you doing?!" & begins crying immediately. I had a whole speech planned to tell this woman how much she means to me, but I forgot most of it. With tears in my eyes, I asked her to spend forever in my arms & she said yes.
