The Location

Lake Toxaway is nestled into the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. People stream from all over the world to experience the majesty that the Blue Ridge has to offer - what does that mean for you?!? Book lodging ASAP. Options vary from hotels and motels, to AirBnB and VRBO, to RV campgrounds, to good ol'fashioned camping campgrounds. Rather than traveling far and wide to attend one isolated event we invite you to come early and stay late! Our dream is for families and friends to rent cabins and/or vacation homes nearby and spend the weekend together. Facilitated events will take place on Friday and Saturday evening, as well as Sunday morning. Most, if not all, events will take place in The Meadow area atop the mountain. Since its a bit of a haul to get up there we encourage you to stay as close as possible in order to keep the drives short.

Dispersed Camping

The Meadow butts up against Panthertown Valley - reverently known as Yosemite of the East. Just five or ten minutes down the road is a trailhead that leads toward Schoolhouse Falls. Dispersed camping is allowed in the area. Although, there are no organized campgrounds - no running water or toilet facilities. Bear in mind: Bears. They are active in the area and will eat your food if you leave it unattended. Reach out to Holly and Auguie if you have any questions about camping in the area. We'd be happy to share some knowledge!
