Jarely and Britt became fast friends when her fiancé and Alex’s groomsman, Sam, entered our lives through paramedic school! Whether it be stumbling through Catan game nights or dancing through music festivals, Britt and Jarely have stayed bonded despite their move up to Seattle. They even survived the chaos of a fiercely competitive wedding dress discount event together - a drama we were ill prepared for but conquered in record-setting time.
Nikki Keck
Bridesmaid
Nicole (or Nikki) and Britt met in high school and were instantly attached at the hip. More than a best friend, she’s like a sister, and they’ve been through every phase of life together—no matter the distance. Even when Nicole left for college in PA while Britt stayed in CO, they made every visit count. Now that she’s back near their hometowns, Britt gets to see Nikki and her husband, Andrew, even more often—which means Alex now has a permanent seat at Andrew’s whiskey tastings, for better or worse!
Hanna Johnson
Bridesmaid
Hanna and Britt met through powerlifting, and their friendship been strengthened through countless training sessions! Hanna’s talent never fails to impress Britt—both in the gym and behind a camera (you all saw those wedding invites!). Together, they’ve survived multiple gym closures, witnessed more powerlifting drama than they care to admit, and even bought a house (with Hanna as realtor, of course)!
Em Canacakos
Bridesmaid
Em and Britt met while training at American Raw Fitness in AZ, and their friendship has only grown stronger since the gym's doors sadly closed. Britt misses Em and her partner in crime, Chris (retired UO football player), everyday and patiently waiting for when the temptation of the green PNW is too strong for them to resist moving. Until then, Britt will continue booking flights to soak up some sunshine and love in the valley!
Meredith Wagenet

Meredith and Britt met through her husband Jesse, who’s also in the bridal party. Mer and Britt co-hosted a podcast, where they discussed women’s strength sports, and challenged each other to think differently about all kinds of issues. These days, they still chat - though they’ve dropped the mic, Mer will always be the first to let Britt know what astrology has in store for her!
Jesse Wagenet

Jesse was Britt’s first friend in PDX, and met through late nights at the gym, where they sorted through big life events and processed emotions together. When Jesse met Mer, they became a solid trio, and after Alex entered the picture, double dates became a regular thing! Now that Jesse and Mer live up in WA, they see each other less, but Jesse remains like a brother to Britt.
Ryan Denfield
Best Man
Alex and Ryan have been best buds since high school. They sat at a lunch table together freshman year and have been pulling shenanigans ever since. Ryan and his wife Megan live right up the street from Alex and Britt, and they know how to throw wicked holiday parties. Ryan’s a Marine Core Veteran an a Firefighter, but for the love of god don’t thank him for his service.
Raul Vazquez

Raul and Alex have been friends since middle school. He’s a friend that Alex can always count on. The two love getting together to lift heavy weights and drink light beer. This past May, they went to Springfest in Germany, so they've prepared for some lagers at the reception!
Sam Devedjian
Groomsman
This big hunk and Alex met in Paramedic school and became close very quickly. Like Alex, Sam’s a fireman, the only difference between the two is that Alex had the guts to keep his medic certification. Sam's fiance, Jarely, is Britt's MOH, making for plenty of double dates!
Michael Gaskell
Groomsman
Michael and Alex met playing football in 5th grade, and now live a short drive apart. Michael is a family man now, but always finds time to turn it up with his old buddy Alex, and blame it on him when he gets home late. Michael and his wife, Jessica, recently celebrated their daughter, Skyler's, first birthday!
Perry Taylor
Groomsman
Perry and Alex met at Banks Fire while they were both interning. They quickly bonded over their shared brain cell, and had a lot of fun while learning how to be firefighters. While Perry now lives up in Seattle, they still make times for sick metal shows and good old fashion debauchery often as they can.
Jason Clink
Groomsman
Clink 182 and Alex met at Banks fire. Jason mentored Alex during his up-and-coming years in the fire service, and in the process became lifelong friends. Jason and Courtney are now close friends with Britt and Alex, and they love the occasional “drink with Clinks” evening. Fun fact about Jason, is that he’s a human instruction manual and can pretty much take apart and rebuild anything.
Austin Lutheran-Burt
Groomsman
Burt and Alex have been friends since High school. Austin and Alex were on the baseball team, but Alex’s batting avg was superior (1/1 is still 100%!). Austin has an affinity for outdoors while his girlfriend, Mikyla, is more aligned with heading to a taproom with Britt. We all enjoy getting together for holiday parties at Ryan and Megan's house.
