Things To Do

Old Town

Old Town

Alexandria, VA

One of our favorite places to walk and have dinner is Old Town Alexandria. We love the architecture and the picturesque streets and views of the Potomac. One of our first dates was geocaching in Old Town.

National Christmas Tree

National Christmas Tree

E Street NW, Washington, DC 20500

If you happen to be in town for New Year's, head into DC to another one of our date spots and find your state's tree.

The Marina

The Marina

1 Marina Drive, Alexandria, VA 22314

Bundle up and head to our favorite spot in DC and the spot we got engaged to watch the planes land at Reagan National Airport.

The Smithsonian Museums at the National Mall

Take the Orange Line Metro to the Smithsonian stop and enjoy any of the museums free of charge. Some of our favorites are the National Air and Space Museum and the American History Museum.

Doxology Church

200 South Carlin Springs Road, Arlington, VA 22204

Before you head out of town, attend church at our church home.

Coastal Flats

7860-L Tysons Corner Center, McLean, VA 22102

The Great American Restaurants are a Smith-family favorite. This seafood-inspired restaurant is located in Tyson's Corner mall.

Kaldi's Social House

3100 10th Street North, Arlington, VA 22201

Stop by the coffee shop where we had our first date for a mocha (groom's favorite hot drink) or chai latte (bride's favorite hot drink).

The Italian Store at Westover

5837 Washington Boulevard, Arlington, VA 22205

This is one of our favorite spots to grab an Italian sub or some Nino's pizza for carryout.
