Our proposal
When we met we both worked crazy schedules and were always on the road. We made time to between my work hitches and his to meet wherever we could. October of last year I was working in Northern Arizona and he was working in Phoenix the same week. We had the weekend off together so I booked us a train ride to the Grand Canyon. We sat and laughed and drank mimosas on the over 2 hour ride. Brad never acted nervous or weird. Towards the end of the ride we walked to the caboose of the train to check out the views. I had no clue but he had planned with our car's attendant to propose back there. As I walked back everyone I passed knew what was coming next, except me. As we stepped out nothing seemed weird, there had been a photographer earlier walking around the train so when she was close I didn't even flinch. I remember letting the wind blow in my face and letting out a giant howl like my huskies always did. When I turned around he was on his knee. I turned back around thinking maybe he was fixing his shoe or something. When I turned around again he was still down there, and I screamed (as seen in video) he just sat there not saying anything. The man who always has something to say barely got out a few words. I never saw it coming and was taken completely off guard. Fun fact all the pictures on this site from the train were taken by a retied photographer who heard about our proposal on the train ride and offered to do a free engagement shoot right there in the Grand Canyon.
