So. . .I just wanted to celebrate what I think is a great love story. I was lucky to meet my guy in the early 70's and we had a wonderful "real" wedding in 1979, It was wonderful and I can remember almost every minute. Then we did a "Redo" at year 25. It was right after my mom had her stroke. It was a great time but it had a shadow over the day. . . So, I mentioned to Val (The Maker of All Good Things) that I would like to marry Oscar again. She never hesitated and said that a date in 2023 would work best for her, my world traveling sister. Oscar, of course, thought I was completely bonkers but Val, Teresa and I got him over the goal line - he was firm.....this extravaganza of mine would be the last time he married me. OK, fine. Then it would be a doozy :) We cooked up this big day with the help of my cousins, Dana and Courtney, who, came out of wedding planning retirement to create my dream beach wedding. I know many of you think I am nuts, and for others of you, this just confirms it! No matter!! We are gonna celebrate not just our love but hopefully your love too. I want to gather on my favorite beach with all of my closest friends and my much beloved family, get dressed up, dance like crazy, eat some wonderful food, reminisce, and mostly make great memories to take us into our older age:) Of course none of this makes sense until you remember my love story, and maybe your own. . .So let's gather and party and make a fuss because there is no way I am going to get Oscar Smith to do this again. Please come. Please bring a present (I love presents!). Wear your dancing shoes and join me and my 3 grandchildren and reluctantly Oscar for some fun and joy! It won't be the same without you!!
